Many many thanks for any help. Mmmmm, hard to find out by checking the Pic however If the machine do not says the G is because is G1 and a G1 do not support windows for extended systems 64 bits so, check the link and jump to driver-storage controller.

I haven’t seen any of the other machines so I don’t know if the G number is usually obvious or not. Again, any help much appreciated. I’ve downloaded and unpacked the other drivers on offer on the ML storage controller driver list.

That’s going to be a big help, thank you. Ok, so I’ve got the latest version of the driver from the HP support site You’re getting me out of a big pile of poo. I have been unable to find any docs on HP website explaining what controller comes with the MLG1 or how to identify it. I have attached a screenshot of the contents of the ISO in case that helps. I think this is the right driver because it is the one offered in the MLRaid controller section on the HP support site but even having opened the case, I can’t make a positive ID of the card in question.

Is it just rebadged or something? If not, maybe you could tell hosttaid how to check. I’ve looked all over the site and can’t find either details of what card I have installed or the drivers for it. Or should I be looking for a different hhostraid Further to this, I could not get the driver to load using the prescribed floppy method. I’m hoping that that wasn’t the wrong thing to do. How do I know which one to use? Surely someone else out there has already had to resolve this, or HP knows what they put in the system when they made it and have it documented somewhere. I don’t know what version it is.
